Breast Augmentation
(With Implants)
Augmentation mammoplasty (breast augmentation) with implants is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the shape and volume of the breasts, helping women achieve the desired look they often seek.
Many women pursue this surgery for various reasons, such as enhancing their overall appearance, restoring breast volume lost after pregnancy or weight loss, correcting asymmetry, or boosting self-esteem. Breast augmentation can help women achieve their desired aesthetic results.
Type of anesthesia: Epidural block and sedation | Duration: 1 hour

Choosing the implant
During your evaluation, we will determine the ideal implant volume based on your desired results and body size. What do we mean by body size? An implant of the same size will look different on a taller woman compared to a shorter one, or on someone with a broader back versus a slimmer build. A common misconception is that the same implant volume will produce the same results for all patients. Therefore, it's crucial to clarify your goals for the surgery and select the type of implant that best suits your unique body.
The incision
The surgery can be performed using various approaches, depending on your desired results and breast shape. Typically, a small incision of less than 2 inches is made along the breast fold (lower part), through which a silicone implant is inserted. The shape and size of the implant, texture, placement, and approach are all carefully discussed during your evaluation.
Recovery Journey
-
Recovery time: 5-7 days
-
Sutures are removed approximately 7 days after surgery.
-
A specialized compression bra is recommended for continuous wear for at least 4 weeks post-surgery. This helps provide support, alleviate discomfort, reduce the risk of bleeding, maintain implant position, and minimize swelling.
-
It is advised to avoid lifting items heavier than 10 pounds for a minimum of 3 weeks, as well as to limit raising your arms above shoulder level. This helps prevent displacing the implant and ensures proper shape retention.
-
For the first 6 weeks post-surgery, exercises that exert pressure on the pectoral muscles (such as push-ups, barbell exercises, and some back exercises) should be avoided. This reduces the risk of internal scar rupture, bruising, implant displacement, or internal bleeding.
-
After about six weeks, you can gradually resume your normal activities.
-
The final results may take 3 to 6 months to fully manifest, although changes in shape are noticeable immediately after the surgery.
