Lipoinfiltration
Fat infiltration (lipoinfiltration) is a procedure where the fat collected from areas with excess fat through liposuction is injected to enhance the shape and volume of other areas of the body that may be lacking volume, The procedure is safe, offers a quick recovery, and delivers natural-looking appearance
Type of anesthesia: The one performed during liposuction typically epidural block and sedation
Duration: Depending on the areas to be treated

Areas of use
This procedure is most commonly used to enhance the volume and contour of the buttocks. However, it is also frequently performed on the hips, breasts, and face (such as the cheekbones and chin). In high-definition (HD) liposuction cases, fat infiltration can further define areas like the pectorals (chest), deltoids (shoulders), and other muscle groups.
Dr. Rios technique
Dr. Rios technique involves centrifuging the fat at low speeds for short periods of time to separate water, blood, and excess oil from the viable fat cells. This results in a denser, more stable fat when injected, providing better projection, higher survival rates, and less impact from changes in body position (such as lying down or sitting).
Recovery Journey
-
Recovery time: 1-2 weeks
-
Stitches are typically removed within 5 to 7 days.
-
For patients who have undergone abdominal or lower back liposuction, drains are usually removed once fluid output decreases to less than 30 ml per day.
-
Swelling is most noticeable during the first 5 to 7 days post-surgery, may persist for another 1 to 2 weeks, and then gradually begins to subside.
-
Initially, the transferred fat may feel firm, with a clay-like texture, but over time it softens and takes on the same natural feel as the surrounding tissue.
-
During recovery, while swelling is present, it’s important to avoid sun exposure to prevent skin discoloration.
-
Although noticeable changes in shape can appear as early as the second or third week, final results typically develop between 6 and 12 months.
-
Maintaining a healthy diet after surgery is essential, as significant weight gain can diminish the results or make them less noticeable.
-
Compression garments should be worn 24 hours a day for at least 4 weeks, removing them only for showers.
